Does every AHL player use a Ribcor stick?

You have to ask yourself, why would Bauer, True, Warrior, STX do that. They gain nothing in doing so.

That would be a no. It's just an equipment deal CCM has with the AHL. Teams are granted exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, everyone is in CCM by contract. However, I believe they have relaxed the rules on helmets over the last year or two, as more and more players seem to be using Re-Akts and Re-Akt 100's - some branded as CCM's a la Mike Vecchione and Travis Sanheim from the Phantoms, some not branded at all.

At the Griffins team sale it seemed like there was a lot of "dressed as" going on. Very few of the Ribcor sticks had that indent thing going on.

But they're all CCM sticks underneath.

(No, they're not painting Bauer and Warrior sticks with CCM graphics - let me get that out of the way.)

Typically these exclusive equipment deals are only for only visible equipment: pants/shells, helmets, gloves, and sticks. Their protective gear is whatever they feel like wearing. The SPHL, for example has deals with Warrior and STX. The Birmingham Bulls all have Warrior helmets, gloves, pants, and sticks but if you go in their locker room, they're all rocking Jofa, Reebok, CCM, Bauer, and Warrior shoulder, elbow, and shin pads. Since Warrior and STX don't make skates, everybody can wear whatever they want: Bauer, CCM, True, and even might see the odd pair of Graf's.

You can tell the kids from the non-kids...Most guys who where up in the NHL do not play the AHL contracted gear, unless they are with CCM.  I have not been to an AHL game in a few years, but back then Reebok was the official brand.  So you could ID the guys who might have been playing down do to CAP issues by their gear.  Sure it could be other reasons...

It appears some AHL teams are a bit more flexible on the CCM helmet requirements than others. Hershey, Toronto for example, I see several guys wearing Bauer helmets with the branding removed. However teams like Chicago, Grand Rapids, basically every guy is in a CCM bucket. Just an observation.
