carpet puck

Recommended Posts

I just picked up a training ball that is the same weight as a puck.  Seems to work pretty well so far.  Unfortunately, can't remember the brand name, just picked it up from the pro shop.

I'm trying to work on things like backhand toe drags. Balls won't accurately capture that feel, will they?

Probably not?  I'm pretty new to the game so any stickhandling practice is good for me.

As a coach, I hate stuff like a backhand toe drag. It's such a low percentage play that if you're playing a competitive game just chip it in and go get it. Even if you're 1 on 1 with the goaler or a dman, there are so many smarter plays you could make.

If you're playing beer league or drop in, dangle til some breaks your stick bud!

+1 for the use of “goaler”
