Buttendz PIT BULL Blade Grip

Recommended Posts

I have used other brands of "blade tape" in the past and was not impressed. So far the general consensus from all of the staff at the shop testing it has been very positive.

My only complain is the graphics are a little "loud."

Ya I saw this on thier ig. Didn't like the dog logo. Wished it just had the BE logo. How is it compared to rezztek. Price wise too?

It looks a bit short and doesn't offer that much blade coverage

I'll stick to regular tape. That thing doesn't even cover the full area the blade that I would generally tape, and I don't use a ton of tape relative to most people to begin with.

I'm all for ingenuity, and advancing technology, but all these blade skins, and butt end grips really do nothing better than what tape has done for decades upon decades, and they all cost way more.

The butt end sleeves saves palms which I appreciate but 20-30 bucks for them is insane for what it is. If I were to get a butt end sleeve I'd get tacki Mac since they are cheap. But I like lizard skins. They just don't last as long but I'll get them on sale and generally two will last the life of the stick.

With the texture on the blades these days, how is that grip wise? I always wondered if the entire blade even needs to be taped since it seems pretty grippy as is.

Looks to be similarly priced to Rezztek. Haven’t seen it in person but curious how it stacks up to how thin the Rezztek material is. Not in blade coverage but when sticking it it on, it’s very thin. Not sure the design of the buttendz is ideal with it not covering the entire blade unless they have size options available?

I’ve tried Rezztek and I think it’s a very good product albeit overpriced. That being said I’ve tried buttendz stick grips and I think the product is subpar and way overpriced, I’d take tacki Mac any day of the week over buttendz. With that in mind I’d most likely go back to Rezztek if I ever went the blade grip route.

Starting to wonder if just buying a sheet of grip tape from a skateboard shop would accomplish the same thing at a fraction of the price.

This is exactly what I do. $17 from Amazon and I'm set for a LONG time. Lasts 10-15 skates before needing to reapply.
