  1. Hey Guys, As some of you may know, I work as a rep for Superfeet. This post is not intended to be SPAM, but I wanted to let the loyal MSH community get a first look at the brand new hockey specific insole we're launching in May - CARBON PRO HOCKEY. Here are some of the features: Up to 11% better acceleration on the ice. The FlyBridge loads and channels energy and absorbs vibration. EVOLyte carbon fiber-reinforced stabilizer cap for weight-defying support Durable Aerolyte foam cushions the foot Heel-to-profile with angles midsole improves energy transfer to the ice The stabilizer cap and contoured foam provide the shape that supports the foot and arch. It's this distinct shape that increases stability, reduces shifting & minimizes hot spots. When reading through a lot of the posts associated with our products and/or foot "issues", pains, discomforts, etc. I noticed a lot of good terminology being tossed into the mix. Of this, I can let you know that some of the most common things our products help with include Plantar Faciitis, bone/heel spurs, bunions, calluses, and Haglund's deformity. These will be sized in the same lettering system that we currently use with Yellow and our other products. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions on the thread or in messages!
  2. So I've recently started playing competitive roller hockey(AIHL/PIHA, etc.) and typically in mens league I usually could always skate faster or hustle more to loose pucks, obviously I can do other things but that's what really set me apart. Well now in the competitive leagues, everyone can really do everything. Everybody is fast, everybody can hustle, everybody can shoot etc. Well..I'm a smaller guy at about 5'6" and while I am starting to go to the gym to put on some mass and get stronger, what are some things I can do to maybe improve my footwork/skating? I watch my organizations elite division team and it seems like thats what puts them head and shoulders above everyone else, not necessarily stick handling, but their feet. I figure I might not be able to burn everybody, and there will be times I get out muscled but as I'm learning more about the game, what can I do to practice fakes(or make them more effective) or what are things I can practice being more balanced and tougher to knock over? I'm sort stealing Kobe Bryant's idea of using his footwork and fakes to make him that much tougher to defend even when he might physically be out matched so I figure I can apply that here right? I mainly want tips for selling fakes better and workouts I can do without skates to make my feet quicker and make me more balanced.

    Cold toes

Does anyone else here get really cold toes when playing? It usually happens when I play games but not on practices. I bought the new Bauer kevlar socks and my feet didn't get cold for a week but then it started again. Any advice will help thanks.
  4. Hi All, Can anyone out there recommend a 2014 skate replacement that have a similar feel to the long discontinued Nike Flexlite 10? I upgraded to the Bauer X60, and now am using Graf 709, and am still in search of something that felt great 10+ years ago. X60 gave me the weight savings and stiffness I was looking for, but too high arch. 709 wider and flatter, but boot was too roomy and overall heavier. Pre-requisites: I have very wide and flat feet Removable footbed (I wear custom skate orthotics) Please help!! Thanks in advance.
  5. I have been a longtime user of Superfeet insoles. I have heard good things about Sidas but have never tried them-same goes for Foot Balance (http://www.footbalance.com/activity/hockey). Considering not two set of feet are the same as another, I realize it is perhaps a fairly moot question. Nevertheless, I am curious if anyone has tried the different insoles, and what conclusions you reached? Thank you, Seth
