    Repairing Glove Palms

Hi Everyone I decided to see if I could find a good forum for player gear and it looks like I found a winner here! :) Question for you all. What do you guys do to repair the holes in your palms? I've got a set of Easton gloves and the palms have a couple of areas that are starting to wear out but the rest is ok. I don't really wanna send them away to be repalmed, as I play about 3 times a week and can't be without them. I guess I can wait till the summer but is there anything I can do for a quick repair? I don't really need the whole palm replaced. A goalie buddy of mine said I could try the stuff that the PadSkinz company makes. He said it's nash palm stuff but with a sticky back. I checked it out on their site (PalmSkinz) and it looks good but I dunno. Has anyone here tried it before? Is there a better option other than getting my whole palm replaced?
  2. So about 6 years ago I purchased a pair of Bauer Vapor XXV's from a big hockey chain in the midwest. I wore them for about three years before one of my friends who sharpens skates asked me if there was a reason that my skates were different sizes. I had no clue that this was the case. When I tried on the skates I was torn between two sizes. Like most people, one foot is slightly larger than the other. They ended up helping me out by giving me one size 8 and one size 7 1/2. This is why I never even knew, because the skates fit so well. To my question. I need to get new steel for my skates. I have Tuuk holders and I am thinking that I will need to buy two different size blades to fit the holders. I really don't want to spend the money to buy two different sets of runners, but I will if I that is the only way. Anyone have any thoughts or know of a place that could get me single blades? Thanks.

    Roller Boot Repair

Hello All, I have pair of Tour Thor LX5 roller hockey skates that I use to skate both inside and outside. The outside sessions have created some scuffs that are getting through the skid plate on the toe/midfoot area. I would like to put some sort of epoxy/shoe goo but wanted to see what people usually use to repair boot scuffs that get through to the weaker underpart of the boot. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi guys, It seems as though a rip/tear is developing on the inside part of the tendon guard, so essentially the same liner as the inside of the boot. Anyone have any patch/sewing fixes that are simple and cheap?
