  1. LoXish, did you have to add any shims or do any dremmeling to get those tri-di to fit? I have a set of tri-di mags that I'm considering using for a conversion, but I'm kind of balking at how well they'll fit. Obviously every skate is going to be a little different, but I just wondered how you did it.

**edit - fixed addressee in my question.

    Nope, just muscled em on.

My little brother is skating them and loves them. The small wheel base actually give shim stellar turning radius.

  2. I was thinking the same thing. Looks even, good work, but might feel off at first. Lean too far forward or back and you're off kilter.

Sz. 10 boot with a chassis off a Sz. 10 RBK.

I knew it'd be pushing the cusp of sizing... that 10-10.5 range seems to be the switchover area... and I looked at this thread for reference, there are probably 3-4 conversions that have similar wheel clearance... I think what makes it stand out here is that the front wheel is a 72... the tri-di can play tricks on the eyes.

But yeah, we'll see... I probably won't even be skating them, rather, my brother...

I'm gonna give them a run tomorrow with asphalt wheels.

  3. The team won which is Murray's job

Hahaha, that on made me laugh. Dude, i'd agree with you but the Blues are like 28th in the league. Just make your kids play more.

it's not as simple as that, 12 losses in the past 14 games doesn't quite build moral. Winning in that building against that team after the past month and a half takes a HUGE monkey off the Blues' back... the Blues won, David won, he had a couple of nice chances, shot in the shoot out... he still gets to play tonight in Ottawa, so I can't say things are so bad.

  4. Andy Murray is seriously a fag. He gives David 5:55 minutes of ice time in a game he was probably looking forward to more than any this year. He's in front of his favorite team, family, friends, Kovalev etc., at least give him a chance to do something.

A fag? Oh em gee, are you serial?

    Grow up.

David obviously deserved more than 6 minutes on the ice, as we all agree. No need to show your age and get all middle school on him on an internet message board.

  5. I was at the game tonight and I'm really glad that Mac and David got to play together.

David's first period was... sluggish at best. He was benched with Boyes in the third period of last game. After the first half of his first period I was worried we wouldn't see him anymore...

But someone lit a fire in his ass between the first and the second.

He was getting really physical and took a couple of rought hits.. including one that could have ended up being really bad, should have been a boarding call.

He held up and showed some ace patience in setting up Mac.

He also had a shift where he really made Columbus look silly... he pulled a sexy spin o rama and dropped it to Mac who almost shit himself... then he picked it back up and just WALKED it through the defenses legs...

A very strong answer to a sub par showing last time around.

  6. Guys, relax a bit...David is a good prospect and probably the most talented player on the Blues roster but IMO he's not ready physically to play on a regular shift game after game in this league. Yesterday, it was Calgary, a hard-hitting game so I think it was a good idea from Murray to sit him and put players who are better at handling the rough stuff.

Maybe some will find me crazy but I find Murray is doing a perfect job with David by intergrating him slowly to the team and the league. So David needs to keep on working and workout out of the ice so he can continue to mature physically.

So for my part, good job Andy and I'd say the Blues will bounce back and win against Detroit thursday.

I agree with most of this Kovy. I disagree with Murray playing him 5 mins with grinders. If he is going to play with that type of player it should be Mayers and Rucinsky with 3rd line minutes. David could help get Rucinsky going and Mayers is fast enough to play with them. Jamal is also a great heart player that could teach a lot as well. My 2 cents on that.

Exactly what I said. I have no issues with Murray not matching Perron with Iginla and I understand sometimes certain players need to be played... but Perron shouldn't be playing with 4th line grinders like Hinote and Mayers.

  7. Weight has taken him under his wing, but he is still in the hotel. The team doesn't want him living alone - we talked about this when I saw him last week. They wanted him and EJ to move in a house across the street from MacInnis but it hasn't been worked out yet.

Not sure - Murray did say that he needed some games off once in a while...

Murray leaves the line-up the same with a win and changes after a loss. If you look at last night, Johnson was out and Wagner was in after the OT loss Friday night. Being a divisional game, I assume Murray left King in the line-up and only put Wagner in. King got the game winner so we can't get on him much this time. I would expect to see David back in Tuesday or Friday at the latest.

If I am not mistaken, Wagner lives in the hotel as well. They are trying to get a house for Johnson and David right by the MacInnis house. There is something holding it up but, I did not bother to ask what.

    Copy cat.

    You too.

    Touche'.

  9. Murray does his best to keep the line ups the same when the Blues are winning, sometimes that results in guys like Perron being the odd man out until someone plays themselves out of the lineup... that's why Erik Johnson was scratched for 2 or 3 games past his IR stint...

And as far as I know they don't like him living alone downtown and are trying to get him and EJ to move in together.

Edit: Yeah JR, Stempniak's goal tonight was a true showcase of what he's capable of. He's had a rough run of it these first 20 games... only had 1 goal on the season until last night... although it's not that he wasn't getting chances... puck was just bouncing all the wrong ways -- he's a talented kid, it'll pick up. He's a streaky scorer anyway... they'll come. He's playing more complete hockey this season.

  10. wow those were two sweet goals vs the dominator of all people. Nice job David go for the hatter

two sweet goals? One 5 hole hasek should of had, and the other, Chelios stood there and watched him bat it in. Should have laid him out.

I'd be mad if I was a Detroit fan right now too..

    But I'm not. Go Perron!

yeah, im not mad though nutsack. The Wings are arguably the best team in the NHL right now, and one bad period isnt going to get me mad. Calling those goals sweet is a bit of a stretch.

    I smell a homer.

Aussie -- the games not over yet. They'll be up.

lol ok call me a homer. arent you a big blues fan....

I am, but it doesn't skew my perception like it does yours.
