  1. They have the extra layer of composite, and the felt tounge....yes both custom.

They were custom made in Canada for some pro. Stiffer, more protective, and WAY more durable.

Got them on ebay (after 10% ebay discount coupon) for $400.

    Same as my s15's.

  2. Odd, it's definitely not the first store I've seen with sticks locked up. I cant recall exactly which stores I saw with locked racks but Saveology definitely wasn't the first. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of them being locked up since I do like to get a feel for new sticks when they come out. The only place that has the highend sticks in stock (TotalOne, S19, EQ50 etc.,) around here is Saveolgoy. :(

Still, if I were working in a LHS I'd prob scold quite a few little rich kids for the dumb shit they do in stores...I'm a little older and crankier than I was in my early 20's.

I play at saveology. Do you play on an adult league team?

  3. IRS saying my refund was deposited Jan. 28th, no sign of it according to my bank...... Love $2500 of mine just floating around no where to be found

UPDATE...... Oh, Hey thanks JPMorgan Chase for returning my refund back to the IRS because the routing number was messed up. I like spending all morning on the phone with people that don't speak english because you couldn't take two seconds to find the right routing number to the unique checking account number that matches the info on the check and account number it should have been deposited into

Sorry to hear about the mix up, but your bank absolutely cant change that information. The direct deposit came in from a third party with incorrect info, so they must send it back by law. If you e-filed, you might want to check what you put in for the routing number to see if it was correct. Not your banks fault one bit. It was either you or the IRS.

  4. Stella's recovery is going better than we could have expected. She never had to wear a collar as the left she affected areas alone. She was on pain killers for only 2 days, and got back to her cheerful self by the 3rd day. The jaw is healing perfectly, and when her mouth is closed you can hardly tell anything was done. Her jaw is a bit shorter and more narrow, and her tounge hangs out sometimes, but someone who didnt know her before, likely wouldnt think anything was wrong. When she opens her mouth it is more noticable....with alot of teeth and jawbone gone.

But the best news of all is that we got back the biopsy results on the tissue and bone removed, and they had very good margins....meaning they GOT ALL THE CANCER!!!! :)

  5. Huh?

It just sounds like they removed so much, wasn't sure how the jaw would work.

But again, glad the surgery went well. Hoping for cancer free news.

    Thanks!

It does sound like a lot...and it is for sure. But it doesnt affect how the jaw itself functions at all. She is just missing those teeth and the bone they were in.

I will post pictures to illustrate when she gets home. It really wont look as bad as you might think. She will likely look little different with the mouth closed, and look like a hockey player when she smiles :)

  6. That's great! Fingers crossed fo you and your dog.

If you don't mind a little prying, is there artificial bone in place of what they removed? If not, will you be serving your pup special food?

No, there is no artificial bone. There is no need for it, as my dog doesnt spend much time in the mirror. JK ;)

There will be very little evidence anything is different when her mouth is closed....except her tounge may flop out a little. She will still have 3 canines, and all molars, so she will have no issues eating any type of food. We have to giver her soft food for 2 weeks until she heals, but then it is all back to noral.

  7. From the Venting Spot to the Sweet Spot.

My dog Stella sucessfully underwent surgery to remove part of her jaw in an attempt to remove cancer.

They took out her bottom jawbone and teeth (all front incisors, one eye-tooth, and back to her pre-molars on one side) :o

She is resting at the hospital, and getting some really good doggy pain drugs :)

We will find out in 5-7 days when we get back the results of the examination of the tissue, if we got all the cancer.

I cant wait to pick her up tomorrow.

  8. The kids egged your house first. An equal and appropriate response is justified. Involving parents is the sure-fire way for you to receive some retaliation from the kids that did it.

Dont you think that the kids will likely retaliate more if their house is egged? That is like declaring war.

I would actually think getting the third parties (parents) involved will introduce some stronger consequences if it escalates.

That is just me speaking as a semi-rational adult with kids.

But as a teenager, I would have absolutely egged their house....and their car for good measure.

  9. GF opened $2500 in credit cards in my name without telling me.

GF didn't file insurance properly for our kid, who had a two week hospital stay.

I now have $31,500 of bills to pay.

    Didnt file the claim properly?

Or didnt get insurance to properly cover the child in the first place?
