  1. Pretty sure you're right. I have Savard team Canada XXXs and that's the only thought I had of the origin of those gloves.

I wish they would have modded the colorway a bit to better differentiate the Canada XXXs from the stock colorway.

Definitely agree there. Same goes for the Team Canada 4 rolls. Same as the stock black/red 4 rolls.

And I also think the 'TSR' on the cuff is kinda cheesy...but I figured I wont be finding 13" UMaine 4 rolls anywhere else for a while, so I might as well take it while I can. Does anyone know if its possible to get it taken out? Not crucial or anything, just wondering.

  2. team canada xxx's?

I have bauer branded xxx in the same color. Came with an extra palm. Also have some nb branded ones too

Yeah, Team Canada XXXs for Andrew Ference....not sure when he ever played for Team Canada, but some great gloves nonetheless.

  3. love when people pay top dollar for OV pro stocks thinking it will make them play like him

do you know how rare sub 80 flex pro stocks are? how about retail toe curves? nobody expects to play like ovechkin. but for some people, myself included, thats as close to a preferred custom set up as we can get.

  4. who are you to say whether he cared or not?

i will say it again..if richards played for...the blue jackets..you would not be saying something like that.

he is a player with a history of going all out 100% of the time. not a history of cheap shots.

he was absolutely remorseful after the game.

he was not aiming for booth's head. its unfortunate that that is what he got though...

    You are... ugh.

    Chadd wouldn't approve.

oh im sorry. i didnt realize i was arguing for approval. i thought we could just have a legitimate discussion about a hockey play.

    so sorry. wont happen again.

  6. your damn right it wasnt intentional.

mike richards is not the kind of guy who is going to plow his shoulder intentionally into someones face.

what you guys fail to realize is that an inch or two to the side and it would have been shoulder to shoulder contact. its not easy to be THAT precise when you line a guy up. especially when things happen that fast.

not to mention the fact that booth had it coming for him walking into the middle admiring his pass. i hate seeing him get hurt and i genuinely hope he gets better soon..but he put himself in such a vulnerable position.

its just not richards's fault that he made contact with the head. the speed of the game just does not allow for him to be so precise as to have him lined up by the centimeter.

give him 5 and a game for the result. i understand the ref was in a position where a call would have been necessary especially because you cant video review something like that...but a suspension would have been unnecessary. this is the first thing ive seen the league get right in a while.

  7. Thanks to Chadd at the MSH skate, I've been able to give FBV a try. I've been on FBV sharpening for about 10hrs of ice time now, and I can't believe how amazing it is. I don't know about the claims of it improving your top speed, but the improved glide is night and day from ROH. My only complaint is that when your going straight or turning slightly, it feels like you have no edges. It just took sometime for me to trust that my edges were eventually going to catch once I was committed to stopping and turning. Too bad I have to go back to ROH (unless anyone can point me to a rink with FBV in the area) for a few months while I save up for a X01.

I wouldn't be averse to a monthly trip to MD until a shop picks up a spinner but I can't get all the way down to your new locale.

    wow chadd thats extremely generous!

im in the northern virginia/maryland area as well and that would be incredible to try out the FBV.

i definitley wouldnt be opposed to making a trip out to harrisburg every so often also...i would totally understand if you wouldnt want to make the trip to maryland/northern virginia for some random MSH member that youve never met :)

im sure you can understand what its like living in a non-hockey area like virginia. the FBV just sounds like something i need to try out.

let me know if it would be ok if i could come up and get my skates done.
