  1. Anybody owned or driven a Trailblazer? My current truck is not doing so well and I've been considering one of these. Traiblazer SS of course. I'm also considering a Jeep Cherokee SRT8 but I've been pricing out a few and it would cost me quite a bit more, Plus i've never been a big mopar fan. Ive never been inside a trailblazer but I like them and the sound of a 6L LS2 in a midsize SUV is just dandy.

  2. The new Fords are the weakest of all the new diesels. If you want a powerful ford go pick one up with the 7.3 turbo diesel, throw an exhaust and chip at it and have fun.

Not a fan of the 6.4's. I had an F450 for a work truck for a while till one of the turbos blew. Then when I got it back the trans started slipping. They claim it'll tow 24,500 pounds, but it fucking SUCKED hauling 18-20K on long trips. No power in valleys, etc.

I now have a ram 3500 mega cab with the 6.7. Good power, truck fucking blows. Don't get one unless you really, REALLY need to. It's rough, interior quality sucks, it's noisy, but it pulls a shit ton. I only like the mega cab because I recline the back seats, throw down some sleeping bags + blanket, and it's way better than sleeping in most of the camps.

The dodge was the biggest pile i've ever driven, but that cummins is an absolute monster. I've decided on a 2008 GMC sierra 2500, my last truck 2005 sierra treated me good until I hit the ditch off the highway 2 weeks ago, and the looks of the new ones are growing on me(except the awful silverado). My only problem now is not lifting it once its in my hands...

  3. I'm trying to pawn off my current 2005 Sierra with the lift right now, which is proving to be very difficult. Since I just bought a 5th wheel trailer I've been looking at a brand new F250 or 350 with the 6.4L powerstroke. I've been wanting a diesel for a while now and they are selling trucks for next to nothing these days so nows the time I guess.

  4. Your lucky with 17mpg, but I guess thats due to the diesel. I'm getting around 17mpg right now only stock tires. But I've already got a 3" body lift on, 2" add a leaf, Ford Keys cranked to level it out and a shackle flip on my 2005 sierra.

I currently have a 6" Superlift full drop lift sitting in my garage waiting for it to be nice enough for me to install, along with some 39.5"x13.5 Iroks to go along with the whole setup. Spent wayyy to much and I still need to regear.

The upsides to driving around a lifted truck is the attention you get, and theres really nothing more fun to have on and off road. Don't bad mouth it until you've drivin one.

  5. Earlier in this tread I was talking about my favorite band Corb Lund, if anybody gets a chance go see his latest tour in north America. I can't say enough good things about his live performances, PLUS he sings his own modified version of the hockey song each show and it's VERY funny. On Canada day I think he had around 8 Verses instead of the normal 3 and it lasted about 10 mins.

I found a link to one of his extended hockey songs so here you go.

If your one of those genuine country music haters, stay far away.

  6. My brother now drives my old truck, sad to see him demolishing something that I took such good care of. I just replaced the heater core last weekend too.

I have to wait until after Christmas to pick up my New truck because they wont clear me for a loan until I work at my new job for 3 months, even though I make plenty enough to afford it. Should have expected this though, sucks because I found THE perfect truck on the lot and I can only hope it doesn't go before I can get it.

  7. I drove my cousins Hemi and a rental 3.5L. The 5.7 Was balls out the whole time and I loved it, hauled ass all over the place. The 3.5 was a whole different story, it might have been because it was a rental but it felt sucked out and starved for power for what I felt is a pretty large car. I loved sitting in both but the engine difference was enough for me to stay far away from that car. Another difference is that the 300C was AWD but it still felt like I was driving my truck instead of a car.

  8. Don't know if anybody here has a taste for country, but this band is fantastic and they are already pretty popular up here in Manitoba and some other provinces. The Corb Lund Band. Fantastic Old style country music but with a little bit of a new age twist.

I've seen him live 5 times including just last week at countryfest, he hands down was my favorite act all weekend and it's nice to see someone on stage with real genuine talent who actually sounds better live than they do on recordings.

They have some fantastic songs such as Hair in my eyes like a highland steer, all I wanna do is play cards and the halarious and fun Truck got Stuck song if anybody wants to check them out. I cant praise this band enough.
