it's been awhile since I've posted but all I can say is "WOW!" I never knew David was such a party animal. I still have his game worn jersey from the night of the now infamous Joe Thornton hit. https://twitter.com/Dutch_Bluesfan/status/1139777370200649728 a clip from the local St Louis news during the parade https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNMceWj9N-c

great game from David last night. Third career hat trick (2nd w/Blues). He's been playing great all season so it was nice to see him finally get some goals. He could've had 4 but passed to Steen at the end for the empty netter..
-
looks like he'll initially be on a line with Lehtera and Tarasenko. Let's hope that translates into lots of points.
-
reports out there say he may be coming "home" to St. Louis? Any ideas?
-
good to see David back in STL last night, he stands out on a team that lacks discipline, teamwork, desire and effort. A great collection of skilled individuals who don't know how to play team hockey. Happy he got a goal, wish he was still a Blue. I wonder what he said to Steen to get him all fired up?
-
we'll miss you David, good luck in Edmonton. A lot of skill up there. I still need to get him to sign my game used jersey (the concussion jersey) from 2010.

rumors abound on Twitter that St. Louis and Columbus talking about a trade involving Perron Aaron Portzline @Aportzline 11m Do not know what #CBJ would be parting w to acquire Perron, but #STLBlues do not own a first-round draft pick. #CBJ has three. Details Aaron Portzline @Aportzline 17m Should have included @DP_57 in that previous tweet. Details Aaron Portzline @Aportzline 18m Told #CBJ have had talks with #STLBlues about a trade that would involve David Perron. #CBJ GM Jarmo Kekalainen will not comment.

updating this thread, David and the team have been struggling recently to put the puck in the net. he was stopped by Khabibulin on a breakaway last night. Many openly wondering if a roster shake up is coming. He's been playing with Sobotka and Tarasenko (another incredible young talent). Time for David and other young vets to step it up.

and we're back to hockey - 5,500 fans at the open practice today at Scottrade Center

quite a transformation for David to go from: Kovy_Ribs_Fedo Posted 13 December 2006 - 10:50 AM The title says it all... MSH member AK_27 is featured on NHL.com. It's with a lot of pride I red this article this morning. David is the living proof that no matter where you play, if you keep your love for the game and keep condfidence in yourself, everything is possible, everything. to this - troy Posted 22 June 2007 - 07:10 PM Well I guess this will have to get moved to NHL Discussions soon. Congrats David, it's quite an accomplishment. to this Law Goalie Posted Yesterday, 06:18 PM Blue re-sign David Goliathus after his impressive comeback season: $15.25 millon over 4 years. Hear that?-- that's the sound of money well-earned. Congrats to you from all your fans in St. Louis. Your's is a story that hard work and dedication do pay off in the end. Here's to hoping you are a Blue for life and follow up a great cup filled career with #57 hanging in the rafters and a statue outside Scottrade Center. I still need to get you to sign the 2010 game used jersey

great game, great series for David, interestingly his line (with Backes and Oshie) was consistently matched up against the Sharks top line for defensive purposes. It was great to see David take on a more defensive role. He's got the magic hands and great vision and that game winning deflection showed that. Can't wait for Round 2

terrible penalty by David in the offensive zone leads to Sharks 1st PP goal. Hopefully just a lesson learned and he puts it behind him. Long series coming

another great game by David - a beautiful goal in the 1st and then the shootout winner. After being demoted to the 4th loan during the Boston game, he's fighting back. and on the front page of tsn.ca http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/

David's been on fire, 5 goals in the last 3 games including 2 pp goals' last night. Did everyone seen the great story about him going to the hockey store in Ottawa to shoot some pucks? Good read http://bostonherald.com/sports/hockey/other_nhl/view/20120208blues_rediscover_scoring_touch

great win for David and the boys, they interviewed David on the pre game show and he said it was very stressful with all the family and friends (probably all you lot at MSH) at the game tonight. He should have had one in the 3rd put couldn't quite pull the trigger. Classy move by the fans to give Jaro a standing O after the game

local Blues beat writer Jeremy Rutherford is "hinting" on his twitter account that David could be back in the lineup this Sat night (12/3) at home vs. Chicago. The roof will come off the building on his first shift.

Blues have fired head coach Davis Payne and hired former Dallas Stars coach Ken Hitchcock - wonder what David thinks - now on his 3rd coach
-
David with the team on the road trip and now on live during the tv broadcast "it felt like there were a hundred guys out there" he said following his first practice with the full team. Still wearing the red "no contact" jersey.

Blues press conference Monday AM - here's the story from the local paper David Perron, who has been out of the Blues' lineup since last November with post-concussion syndrome, will return to the team on Monday. The Blues made the announcement in a press release this afternoon. According to the release, Perron and general manager Doug Armstrong are expected to be available to the media at 11 a.m. Monday. Perron isn't expected to practice tomorrow, but his return to the club is seen as the first promising step in his physical recovery from post-concussion syndrome. Perron has not played since Nov. 4, when San Jose's Joe Thornton delivered a crushing hit at center ice. Thornton was suspended for two games. In August, Armstrong announced that Perron would not be healthy enough to begin training camp with the Blues. And he cautioned that when Perron was ready to resume practicing, it would take some time before he was in game shape. "He hasn't lifted weight yet or trained since the injury," Armstrong said in August. "Not only is he going to have to get his skating legs back, he's going to have to get his body back in NHL shape. With that is going to come his puck skills, his hands and timing. There's going to be a process that he's going to have to go through once he does get medically cleared to do the physical training. "Everyone is different, but we're not going to put David in a position to fail. We're going to put him in there when he's ready." That time, however, appears to be getting closer. Looks like some updates should be coming very soon http://www.truehockey.com/articles/Blues-to-Meet-With-Perron-Next-Week Quote Blues fans can expect an update on forward David Perron in the very near future. I'm told GM Doug Armstrong will speak with Perron at some point next week to get a better idea of where he is in his recovery. Perron's availability for training camp should be clearer following the meeting. If Perron shows the necessary level of progress, the Blues will likely map out a plan that hopefully lands their former first round pick back on the ice. An early August meeting has been arranged for several weeks as Perron continues to recover from a November 4th concussion which led to him missing the Blues final 72 games of the season. Perron will eventually need to return to St. Louis and pass a number of tests in front of Blues medical personnel before he receives clearance to begin skating. More to come, Andy Strickland strickland.andy@gmail.com

David still not working out, from this morning's St. Louis Post-Dispatch "More discouraging news on forward David Perron from Blues GM Doug Armstrong. Perron, making slow progress in his recovery from a devastating concussion, continues to experience headaches. Armstrong told me that the team soon would have to make roster plans on the assumption that Perron will be unavailable for training camp and the start of the season."
