Building a website

Does anyone have their own website? What means did you guys go about creating it? Did most of you use godaddy.com?? I am looking at creating one, but want to find the best deal....(i.e. the cheapest).

I used go daddy to buy the name and the forwarding thing, then I hosted it on a free server. (www.anycities.com)

It worked real well.
