nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted June 3, 2005 I'm thinking of taking the ride down from NYC to Philly for the concert and I'm wondering if anyone from the Northeast is planning on going to Philly on July 2nd for the US leg of the concert. So far in Philly the confirmed artists are 50 Cent, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, P Diddy, Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews Band, Rob Thomas, Jay Z, Keith Urban, Kaiser Chiefs and Sarah McLachlan. Will Smith will be the "Host" of the Philly show.For those who aren't familiar with Live8, it's a 5 venue mega concert that was put together as a way to make people aware of the G8 Summit in Scotland where a plan to call for complete debt cancellation, more and better aid and trade justice for the world’s poorest people will be presented to the leaders of the USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia.If the show is anything like the original in 1985, it will be an amazing event.
