Niedermyer To the Ducks

Recommended Posts

It's almost impossible to fail in the New Jersey system. Unless you rebel against the system, you won't do that poorly. Makes it very easy to succeed. I can see them being in trouble this year. Stevens isn't signed Niedermyer did give them offense and Elias isn't recovered. I'd definately say they are a sinking ship. NHL should be cracking down on interference, they've come out and said we'll continue to trap, so I can see it being a rough year.

Anahiem will be decent, but not a powerhouse. Their cup run was from a lower seed. It's tough to say they are in trouble. They've got talent on the roster, they've got some talent on the farm, and they have some talent in junior. They could have 2-3 very good rookies on board this year. Looking at the rosters, you can see there is more partity in how talent is distributed. The bottom teams got better, and the top teams got worse. Anahiem got better.

Niedermyer is Anaheim? What a waste of talent, they won't be in the playoffs anytime soon.

Yeah, they weren't in the cup finals two years ago with a lot of the same team or anything.

Yeah how'd they do last year? Oh yeah 12th in the West, yeah they're good though. It's a what have you done for me lately world. Giguere was amazing when they made the finals but he was awful last season 17-31-6? That isn't going to get you in the playoffs.

Well, it was there or Vancouver (NJ is a sinking ship). I'd rather take the same money to play with my brother, than a team that is good but can never get over the hump.

I think Vancouver is much more of a contender than Anaheim.

Well out here in Vancouver I think people are getting restless. They lost Sopel and Malik and I don't think Bryan Allen is a top 4 d-man. Since Messier they haven't signed a big name free agent. I can't help but beleive if they offered either Neidermayer or Kariya serious contracts they would have considered them.

They have roughly 23 mill tied up. Even spending to the max only allowed about a mill a player. They need to tie up some loose ends and fill out the roster. Signing either would've killed their cap. I think they are better without Nieds.
