does anyone have any idea whether kari lehtonen will be the starter in atlanta this year?

i know that they have nurminen and hurme but it is clear that lehtonen is head and shoulders above them in talent, but do the coaches think hes ready to take over as their #1.

i think that lehtonen will have a better career than ma fleury, does anyone have an opinion or insight on this?

Everything I've seen and heard has him as the favourite, but nothing will be "official" until he shows up for training camp. Alot can determine who is a "better" goalie.

I could see something like what happened in New Jersey in 93-94. Terreri and Brodeur (rookie) split the 84 games pretty evenly, but by the end of the season Brodeur had won the #1 job and was the starter for the playoffs.
