Getting rid of History

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I want to know how to not have the computer remember what sites ive been on like on the scroll down list under the web URL.

Ive done it before and i formatted my comp because it was messed up with viruses and you name it.

Thanks any help would be appreciated here.

depending on your browser you may also need to turn off the auto-complete links, but yeah typically clearing your history will do it.

You may also want to Delete Cookies and delete the Temporary Internet Files along with your History. That will fully delete all the sites you visit.

Try this:

Tools>Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete>Make sure the box for Web Adresses does not have a check mark>Clear Forms.

That should do the trick.
