Jimmy, it depends on where you are in the uk, it ranges from £2.50 upto £5.

But oftern with some rinks you have to leave them for a couple of days. And when you get them back they are not a good grind. Some do them instantly and oftern have edges off.

Im currently charging £5 for anybody who wants a grind, but my hockey team mates im charging £4. I dont have a shop, but im going mobile putting my equipment into a van and offer mobile services, so the prices will be going up to cover costs!

Its just that there are few good, sharpeners in our areas.

I use a Pro-Filer hollow depth indicator to check my skates. But the skate blades kept chewing up the indicator tip, giving jerky readings. Then I found a source for carbide tips for the indicator. The carbide tips are indestructable. In case anyone is interested, the correct thread is 4-48, like on this CT-210:
