The Leafs are hovering around the $37 mill mark right now. This is what's happening

-Nolan's off the books. Either via buy-out or Void contract (upto arbitrator)

-Sundind Salary is $6.8 this year, but because his last year dips, it counts as $6.3 (Total salary/years = what counts against the cap)

- They are banking on Allison hitting all of his numbers. Which takes them from $34 (Without Nolan, averaged Mats, with Marius) to $37 (Allisons bonuses top out at $3 mill)

I've never really paid much attention to him, but by looking at his stats hes never played a full NHL season. For people who know him, can anything be expected out of him, like being the 4-5 defenseman? Or is he going to be a 6-7 Marchment-esque guy?

I think a top 5 d-man is pushing it for him. This guy is a stay at home d but with the rule changes I don't think he has the speed needed to not be exploited.

He's expected to split between the Marlies and 6/7 role. It looks like a trade may be in the works as well. Just because of the number of guys on our roster. Brown was captain of one of the newer teams and I think he's more to help Paul Maurice than the Leafs.
