xix skate

hey, i need new skates, currently using graf 709's but the xxx skates seem to beporilar and 2 team mates have said they are awesome, but i cannot afford the xxx. i was looking around and there is an xix model and an xiv model, the xiv being cheaper, but i need sum advice on which one to choose. cheers

Vapors fit nothing like your 709.If youre comfortable in Graf 709.I would stick them.Dont get skates because they are the new cool thing.

I'm guessing you mean "popular". Get yourself to a LHS and see for yourself if Bauer fit your foot good. Never just buy skates (especially from new companys) because they are popular or look cool without trying them on first,. You'll save yourself alot of pain by doing so rather than just (for example) buying them from online shops.

just from my experience ive been using grafs for just over 3 years, and i tried on some bauer skates this summer and it just felt terrible. the boot doesnt taper to "grab" your foot

Well, why dont you stick to a skate when it fits your foot well ?

ok, well i need new skates coz graf too small now. does anyone know what skate would be similiar to grafs? as i do want to try different makes.

There is nothing on the market similar to the 709's ,but you can try Bauer 8090 or Nike Flexlite 12

this isnt a question that people can anwser for you. you HAVE to go into a store and try on the skates yourself. as far as fitting similar to grafs, ive never worn the 709s but they are supposed to be a wider fit. no one can tell you what skate you will like best, especially not if your decision is going to be based on the popularity of a skate. personally i would try on a few skates, and then try on the 709s again and compare them.

He doesn't HAVE to go in and try them on. But should consider it when choosing which skate he will get.. Deffinatly a good idea to though..
