Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 My calculator seems to have screwed up a little bit. It's a Casio fx991 if that matters. I have a limit test today, and I need it to computer powers, but it's screw up. If its a negative number to the power of an even number its coming out negative, which is screwing up my answers. Ex. I'll type in -2 /\4 and it comes out -16, when it should be 16. I've tried it in degree, radian and another mode. I've reset it and still have the problems. Any ideas? peter54 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Add Parentheses. Ex: instead of -2^4 type (-2)^4. That should work.
Squirrel 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Yea parentheses will fix it. I lost some points on my functions test because I didn't put in brackets on my TI83.
