Reds bones Bearings?

I bought some Reds Bones bearings, thye look nice but thye only come with one shield on each bearing. Is this how they are supposed to be? All my bearings have always had two shields. If this is how it is suppossed to be which way to I put them into the wheels. Ithe the shield facing in or out?

I skate bones swiss, rubber ring covering bearings faces in, might be red or black

So you will be able to see the side with no cover when you look at the skates? Wont a ton of dust get in the bearing. The one side has no cover at all, just this platic ring thing holding the balls in.
