Synergy 700 gloves

How do they feel? What is the feel comperable to? Are the palms grippy, and will they stay soft for a long time (~2 seasons or better) and coming from TPS R2's, will I be satisfied (do you think)?

Reason I ask, is that I have a chance to get a pair through my team for $50 total, and they'll match my team (still black I think, heh).

Another question, what size would I be comfortable in if I wear a 14" TPS R2 glove, and a 14" Bauer Vapor glove fits me? 14" I would assume, but one can never be sure.

Thanks a lot guys, my coach is ordering them tomorrow, so I need some quick info. Looking at them, I like what I see.
