Canucks=No Autographs

A few days ago the hockey program at my school went to a canucks practise/meet and greet(i didnt go ,i had an injury at the start of the year and got pulled out of the class not knowing when id be back). Well anyways ,the kids at my school were all excited and got their canucks flags and hockey cards and stuff ready to be signed ....and the canucks refused to sign anything .Why would this be? I'm not bad mouthing the Canucks or anything cause i know they do tonnes of charity work and theyre all great guys I'm sure but i still wanna know why they wouldnt sign anything ,could it be something in their contract?

Sheer volume of requests? If they can't accomodate every single kid, it's probably better to not sign at all in this case...

nah ,there were like 10-15 kids ,im sure there were a bunch without anything they wanted signed and the programs coachs were there and they dont put up with shit

There's no such thing as a "no autograph" clause in a contract. So it must've been some other circumstance like time constraints...that is, if they weren't just being bastards...

Did they happen to have a game that night? I have heard of some coaches that don't want the players signing anything before a game. I hear more of it happening as the players are entering the arena and before warm ups,but maybe they extend it to game day? Pretty unusual for a meet and greet though. A big part of that is to get autographs.
