I can answer many of her questions, but she did get me to think about the game. To a newbie, hockey has many complex aspects. Maybe this is why NASCAR is more popular :-)Here are some areas she could use some help with (using her terms):Everyone seems to be all over the place. How do you know where to be on the ice?What are the names of all of the posistions?How does the coach know when to make player changes?What are all of the red dots on the ice? What are the lines used for (red and blue)?What is a crease and why does the goalie have blue ice under him?How does the ref know where to have a face off?How many players can be on the ice?Why do we have to travel all over just to play (I wonder this one, myself)?Why does the clock stop on some plays, and not on others?
