CCM Vectors and Tuuk lightspeed holders.

I purchased a pair of CCM vectors pro (I Gave up on The bauers 8090's) and want to install tuuk LS2 STEEL AND HOLDER. When you do this does this mean that the holder has to be removed to remove the steel or can a hole be installed in the CCM heel?? I think I know he answer,but I want to know for sure. I mean I don't think that you could put a hole in this boot, but you never know.

At my LHS, they remove the holders to change steel regardless of whether or not there are predrilled holes. They say it's easier. They don't charge for new rivets either, just the work order and new steel.

long story short--Found out today that they were to long---messed with my arch,Foot did'nt sit right in the skate. I had a size 10 because well thats what the guy said I needed..... he was full of !@#$. Then I got 2E 9.5's from bauer and hockey giant---sent me to different width skates????? I went around the globe today to find a freakin skate and the vectors fit me real well so did the vapor XXX............its amazing how well a skate fits when you have the right size!! also 8090 I guess have a high arch, I guess higher than XXX, But I don't know I have heard alot of different things this past month. I had a game tonight I was going to miss but today my friends I grew up with drove 1.5 hrs both ways to get me a pair of vaporXXX 9-2E witch is my real bauer size. I played tonight did'nt even get them baked!! so they should feel even better after I get them baked! But the 8090 was a great skate until I broke it in, then that is when I discovered it was the wrong size, blisters,cramping and awefull arch pain. what a mess! I can't beleive how much I like the XXX, I had the XX 3 months ago and I sold them..But they were a size 10. so again wrong size. I learned my lesson, skates cost to mutch and most hockey shop guys are full of S!@#. I talked to so many people before I meat JR. But JR is the only one I trust now. so I guess we could lock this post :D
