Brian's DX2's

Recommended Posts

For those of you that have used the DX2 stuff from Brian's, how is it? I've got AMaxx's now but probably will need a new set in about a years time as these are taking some heavy use. How do the DX2's compare to the AMaxx's in shape and performance? How does the Thief glove and blocker compare to the DX2? And does anyone have any pictures of their stuff, the Brian’s site can't give me a good perspective of how the pad is shaped out. And Yes, i searched but couldn’t find anything relevant. Thanks guys.

I have the Dx2's. I Have had them since about july. Best pads i ever owned. They are still in great shape(only puck marks) the blocker is the enw thinner style that its light and strong and the glove breaks in easily and is very good beep weabing. its great stuff.

yea, the problem i am having with my AMaxx's is that the synthetic leather is wearing out on the inside of the pads, its only a matter of time. If you can, please post a pic of the pads, thanks.

The DX2 glove was my second favorite at the show in Boston. Its amazing, highly recommend it! As for the pads, the whole line all around is solid, Brian's makes great stuff and you know that.

As for comparison, the AMaxx is a little more hybrid than the DX2, with the DX2 you will have more stiffness and find that it is geared toward more of a strictly bfly goaler. I will recommend the new Beast, it looks and feels like a great pad. Also check out the Vortek VK5 Oracle and the TPS Summit. All great sets.

If you're looking for something along the AMaxx line, then go with the new Beasts. They are geared to take over for the AMaxx. The DX2s are very nice and my favs in the Brians line-up, but if you're looking to stick with something like the AMaxx I'm going to have to recommend the Beasts.
