Tapered Blade Measurement

Can anyone measure a tapered blade (the part that goes into the shaft). I want to shave down a standard blade to put in my shaft but I threw my broken blade away?

Just shave it the minimum to put in your shaft and it will be great. I always do this with my standard blade and I always do it without a measurement or something else

Its about a cm different than a standard blade.

Its definitely not a cm thinner than a standard tenon. Leave the long dimension (typically 1.020 inches) and take the short dimension down to 0.520 inches (a standard blade is typically 0.620 inches thick; tapered is approximately 0.100" thinner). Good luck !!
