My buddy liked my 727's and he wants to invest in a pair of grafs ...he has wide feet with almost zero arch what boot should a recommend to him???

If he needs a deep boot, the 709's sound about right, but they will be alot stiffer than your 727s.

The 709 sounds like it would fit him. He might be able to wear a 705 also. The 705 has a wide forefoot just like the 709 but, the 705 is a little bit shallower.
