Different lies for the same pattern?

I have been looking at the MSH pattern database and other pattern charts and I have noticed that different lies are reported for the same patterns depending on the chart - specifically:

Easton Forsberg - 5 or 6 lie depending on chart

Sherwood Crosby - 5 or 6 lie depending on chart

These are the only ones I have noticed because I have been interested in them. Is there more than one system/standard to measure blade lies? Does each company measure their lies differently? Will companies change patterns and keep the same name for the pattern?

i heard inno was gonna make the same pattern with different lies, wonder if warrior will do it.

i noticed that too ... on my forsberg SL it says its a 5 lie but all the charts say its a six?!
