Labeda Sensor Chassis - 76mm wheel rubs?

Recommended Posts

Anyone ever have this problem? I just had a sensor frame put onto one of my boots and I was putting the wheels on tonight. The front wheel rubs against the cross support bar between the 76mm wheel and 72mm wheel. It limits the wheel from spinning freely... but if I dremel it it should fix it.

Anyone else have this problem? Maybe the MB816 wheels are a little larger then advertised? BTW.... the frame is a size small.

Sure it's not the 76mm hitting the 72mm? The first generation Sensor was designed to only work with Labeda wheels... since Labeda wheels are slightly smaller than other manufactures. On my old first generation Sensors I used to throw a Labeda wheel on the front. After a while I just said screw it and let it rub till it span freely (usually about a period). If it is hitting the bar I would imagine just barely.. from either excess urethane from the wheel mold or a tiny machining flaw on the chassis. My second generation Sensors do not rub at all with RR or Revision.

Yea... it's hitting that crossbar. And it's just that excess urethane on the center line of the wheel. I must have the first generation sensor chassis then :)

I just took my dremel and made a small grove there so the wheel spins freely. Can't wait to finally try them out tomorrow.
