I would say that in my opinion, if you have a garage with a very slick surface, you might not want to get it unless you get the slider version. If you are planning on using it on a carpeted basement or something that is relatively hard but not slick like some garage floors, it would work well for you. The DVD training is OK. I have not yet looked at the second dvd which covers stuff to do with the slider board and the hockey heat. That DVD might be better but if you have the slick garage like I do, I would forgo the heat, get a slider board and buy stickhandling.com's dvd set. I bought my setup from mrassist.com and got the roll up slider. It's nice and it gives a hell of a workout. You would not believe how hard it is to spend 10 minutes sliding back and forth on that thing. Combined with stick handling, I think it is an excellent tool, and I highly recommend Mr. Assist's website for purchase. Jim will give you excellent tips and advice.
