Rink Rat micro bearing wheels

Recommended Posts

I haven't been able to find quite what I am looking for information-wise. I am wondering about the Blue Flame wheel vs the MB816 wheel. I know the Blue Flame was very short lived, and am wondering why it got the ax so quickly, and if the MB816 is truly a better wheel and worth the upfront investment of using Blue Flames stock on a PF10

Hey Guys,

To answer your question, the blue flame was discontinued because the hub was to hard to make consistantly. It was slowing down production and wasn't giving us or our customers the high quality you and we expect, thus we decided to go with the MB816 because the hub is stronger and in our opinion a better wheel.

The new 2006 MB816 has been softened alittle for more grip. I know will be very happy with the new MB816 wheels.

Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you guys on this issue!

Thanks Guys,

Mike

I just thought you didn't like me Mike :P , thanks for the info.

edit:

You say it was hard to make the hub consistantly, does this mean the hub could have issues, or it was just a slow production process? If the hubs are prone to issues, I'd like to know so I can get myself some MB816's ordered. If it was just a cost effectiveness issue, I then have about 80 dollars I can be spending elsewhere.

Scoop,

MB816's are worth the money. Give them a try my friend and sorry for the delay getting back to you. As everyone knows here most of the time I will get an answer to you right away. Sometimes it takes a little longer!!!

Mike

You know, I've been called Copper (my last name) SD, SDCopp and Coop, but never Scoop (just gotta give you a hard time)

I was thinking about getting them anyway and keeping Blue Flames for back-ups. My Tours are just not my thing, and Missions seem to have gone back to the way they fit a few years back, which is not for my feet, so CCM looks promising but the Blue Flames come on those, so I was in a bind. Looks like I'll have to do some work around the house or something to convince the boss to let me spend for them. Thanks again Mike, you have just made my wife happy that she can get more work out of me for these.
