willy0314 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 I just use normal black tape and a soft wax. The stick wax i have now is so soft and tacky, you can stick a puck to the blade, turn it over, and the puck wont fall off. However, im pretty sure the only thing the wax really dose when you are playing is keep snow from building up on the stick blade. If you are having trouble with your stick handling, some good practice, on ice or off (golf ball or smart hockey ball), will make alot bigger difference then any tape job.
