i only use the formula g era green 74a great grip and they last a long time for me but i only play 2 times a week and some tourneys. plus it also helps that i play in anaheim and they got some great sportcourt and do keep it well cleaned.

Formula G's are a good wheel but they're just outdated technology. The wheel is a single pour wheel with a plastic hub whereas nowadays you have dual pours, tri-pours, carbon fiber hubs, etc...

For what it is, its a good value. At one point it was the best selling performance wheel but that was like 8 years ago. The fact that its still around tells you something. I think I read somewhere that an issue with the compound that the formula G wheel is made of makes it so that they cannot produce it in "clear" colors like most wheels are nowadays which has hampered its marketability somewhat (hence the "exciting" neon colors and scary neon pink editions of the wheel you can find).

Regardless It holds up well on a variety of surfaces even the coated wood floor I mostly play on which tears up wheels pretty badly. It may give not give you the level of grip you're looking for on sportscourt.

Overall, definitely recommend them if you can find them under $4 a wheel.

it's a decent all around wheel and does good on roll on and wood, but there are definitely better choices out there depending on pocketbook considerations. The biggest issue you'll find with single poured wheels like the Formula G is if you are a bigger skater at all, the wheel will feel spongy under you and slow.
