New RBK pads?

I don't play goal, but I noticed tonight on gettyimages that Marc-Andre Fleury seems to be switching between the traditional style of rbk pads and some that look like Koho's with rbk lettering. Any thoughts?

i think he is using the 590 pads but with the rbk logo and graphics

Yeah probably some old Koho pads with the RBK logos. Kind of like Brodeur and Turco have the old Heaton pads with Vector logos.

ALL WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's using real Rbk's!!!!!!! +2 or maybe just +1 on the thigh rise and the top strap is higher than on stock Rbk's!!!!!!!! He switched like 3 weeks ago!

He may be using RBKs now, but the pads in the second picture are Koho pads. (Rbk pads do not have knee rolls). Looking at recent photos he is wearing the RBK pads. I haven't seen him in the old Koho style pads since March.(I haven't been looking to hard.) He probably felt he was in a slump and decided to change pads. Or maybe he had to use an old pair until he got he newest set. Who knows? He is a goalie after all. :lol:

That's what I said in my last post. I agreed with you about him wearing RBks now. I was just saying that in the one picture he has Koho pads. Plus, I think Tkidg4's question is why would Fleury switch, not which pads is he wearing now.

*From the information I've gathered, they seem to be a hybrid of the RBK and Koho 580/590 pads. MAF is very picky about his pads, what he custom orders is no where near what would be factory stock on RBK's or Kohos. Since he signed with RBK he has never like the Premier Pro pads as much as he liked his old Koho pads.

The new pads he is wearing are not merely 580/590 pads with RBK graphics, they are the basic RBK design with many things incorporated on them from the old Koho pads. I'm sure the biggest things are the knee rolls and single knee break compared to what he had with the standard RBK pad. *
