taking care of leg pad straps

Recommended Posts

I picked up a used pair of Louisville TPS pads. The leg straps are all in tact but the leather is kind of cracked from age. Is there anything I can do to prolong the life of the straps?

Try a product called Lexol-a saddlery shop or good leather shop will have it-it will do the same thing as neatsfoot oil would but wont leave the leather with a greasy feeling

But you may want to get ready to replace the straps-in my experience repairing equipment (20+) years they will go sooner than later.

Your LHS should be able to hook you up with somebody to do it-if not a decent shoe repair shop can do them
