It was today. I had a pretty crappy year so I didn't get picked but a whole bunch of my freinds did. Did anyone on here get drafted, and for what team?

Do they only only draft kids from Canada? Just something I've been wondering.

no, I'm from the Southern US haha, plus I don't play much hockey, I'm getting back into it. But playing the juniors in Canada sound amazing and fun.. i've heard a lot of cool stories about juniors from the minor league hockey guys I've talked to down here.

They only ended up drafting like 4 kids out of 230 picked, from the States. The rest were from Canada.

Played against the 33 overall pick Garret Mitchell in highschool. Pretty good all around player. He was grade 9 and i was grade 12.

I played with one kid drafted this year, taken in the 8th round, and played against one of the kids taken in the 11th. I've heard that this year was a fairly weak year in alberta for the draft though.

In one of my hockey camps, I played with the #32 draft, Zac Ashdown, me and him were on the same line, with another kid from Vernon.

The others drafted from the states were from Colorado, and two from Texas, i think thats it.. wasnt drafted last year (im a '90).. went to some camps.. (woohoo) but played with all the kids (this year and last) who were drafted from Calgary last year.(which was quite a bit). And #11 pick from this year (chaffin) was an affiliate for my team this year.

It was nice to see BC domination in the first round. I think like 10 out of 21 kids and alot through the rest of the rounds. Pretty much the whole Abbotsford AAA team got drafted ( Western Canadian Champions). I had a few friends get drafted in the 3rd and 4th rounds
