NorCAL/anybody here play hockey in Sacramento, CA

I am just looking for how many people that surf this web site and play hockey in Northern California. Skatetown ice rink in Roseville, Ca (near Sacramento) or other rinks in the Bay Area.

I was teaching an Adult Hockey class last Sunday and one of my students asked me if I was "Atomicpunk" from MSH. I was like wow, a lot of people must be checking out the website.

I try to recommend this site to students in my classes as well as customers in the pro shop. Most of our staff also check out the site.

I’m that student. It took a lot of research on MSH, and guesswork, to figure out who was the AttomicPunk! :D

I thought I had it nailed, but then you put YMCA on the sound system Sunday before class and I thought “oops… guess not†, but I figured I’d ask anyway.

My son (who’s in the Hockey 2 class) and I are completely new to hockey. I stumbled across this list when doing some general research and I couldn’t believe the goldmine I’d found!. I am truly indebted to the MSH staff and all the members who share their knowledge and experience, which has taught me so much (and helped me avoided so many expensive mistakes)!

Anyway, I’m not playing yet, but as soon as the class is finished, I’ll be joining the Bronze league.

I actually started playing roller hockey at DISC back in 2001. After graduating from Davis, I moved back to the bay area and currently play roller at the Bladium in Alameda and ice at Oakland. I may eventually move back to the Sacramento area (if I can find a job there). I know there are a few guys on the GSBB that are in the bay area.

I forgot my cds last week for warm up before class. That disco disk was the only thing in the player, BRUTAL. I always have to break out the 80's Rock & Metal to get things going. Van Halen is a personal favorite.

Hopefully, we will hear from a few other Sacramento people.

I live an hour away from Sac and never played there. I actually play ice and roller in the Bay Area (San Jose). The places I play are Logitech Ice (where the Sharks practice) and Rollin Ice

i used to live in norcal..

had a lot of fun playing at the fremont iceoplex, logitech ice center, oakland ice.

oakland was the most fun for me with Andre Lacroix... did he retire?

I am from Sacramento and looking into playing some hockey at Roseville Skatetown ice rink. I have not played in a while. Just got a new pair of skates and next will be getting the other equipment. Does anyone know where I can get my skates rockered/profiled by someone highly skilled in shaping the blades? Personally I like less blade touching the ice. Looking forward to playing again.

The staff in the proshop at Roseville rink have been great, very helpful!!!
