Johnson Chooses Minnesota Over NHL

This years first overall pick Erik Johnson has decided to play at least a year of college hockey. I am sure he could have cracked the Blues lineup this year but another year of college will help his development and the chances of him missing a chance to win a cup like Jack Johnson this year probably wont be a factor. For those of you who dont know Jack Johnson decided to play at the University of Michigan last year when he was offered a spot from the Canes and chances are pretty good that he wouldn't have got sent down to the AHL and would have his name on the cup right now.

Carolina asked Jack Johnson if he wanted to play in the playoffs and he declined. As far as Erik Johnson goes, it is the right decision for all parties.
