I guess this was McPhee's way of showing the caps fans that he is still alive and still much too afraid to go out and get a big name player after what happened with Jagr. So i guess the caps just lent him to the habs for the prime of his career and then asked for him back

He got great playoffs in 04. After that nothing, hopefully for him, he's going to pick it up.

He's a solid pickup for the Caps, lead the Habs in scoring for two years. I don't no why everyone in Montreal wanted him out, I know he didn't have a good year but give the guy a break.

I'm pretty sure he asked BG for a trade though?

It's been pointed out a few times (on here, and the Habs board) Zeddy has not been the same since he got his clock cleaned against Boston a few years ago.

Maybe the change of scenery (and playing with Ovy) will do him some good.

I don't see how a player could look bad playing with Ovy... come to think of it, he pretty much makes all the players look bad cause he's so good, fast, electrizing lol... But I'm sure that if they put Ovy and Zednik on the same line, Zednik will more than likely get his fair share of points although the seond scorer on the Caps got less than half the points Ovechkin did...

He was really good when Washington went to the Finals as well. I'm pretty sure he was a rookie then, playing with Oates on the first line.

If anything, at least we'll see what kind of set-up man AO is. There's no doubt that Zed will be open a lot.
