quick question about wheels

Recommended Posts

80a is the hardness rating for the Urethane the wheels are made from. Most wheels designed to be used mainly on sportcourt are 74a - 76a. Many these days have multiple durometers (term for the wheels hardness) within each wheel with the outermost layer being the hardness noted on the wheel. Rink Rats, Dynasties, Trinities for ex. are all this way.

I use 72a on the front two wheels and 74a on the back. Dont know why I do its just the way I have always done it and I think the softer wheels up front allow me to accelerate a little bit faster and the harder back wheels hold up better for hard stopping.
