Houston Stores

Hi, I am currently living in Houston TX, and I am trying to find some local hockey stores. I'm looking for some Bauer XXX's or CCM Vector 10.0's skates and would like to try them on and have them baked instead of ordering from an online retailler. I'm looking for some other equipment but the skates are my biggest issue right now.

The only 'store' I have found is The Hockey Stop. However I called them today and the number seems to be disconnected. If anyone has some information on this place that would be great. I sent them an email today, so I'll wait on a reply.

Do the local Ice Rinks have good stores? I'd be willing to drive to any of them in the Houston area.

I know a few people that live down in Houston and the only shops that they've mentioned are the Hockey Stop and the pro shop at the Aerodome. I've been told that the selection at the store isn't great. A lot of people who play hockey in Houston wait for a tournament in the DFW area and then stock up on gear at Perani's, Player's Bench and the Hockey Shop. Good luck finding a good store. Hopefully the selection has improved.

Thanks donkey87. I however don't think I'll get a chance to go up to the DFW area before I leave, got to get back to the UK to start the new season :)

I mannaged to track down some Bauer XXX's at the pro shop in the 'Sugarland Ice arena' that have my size so i'm going there tomorrow to try them.

Just a note:

'The Hockey Stop'. Apparently closed down 2 months ago (According to the guy who works at Playitagain sports). It was in North Houston off I-45 on Louetta Road.
