Hockey Downeast

I'm thinking about moving to the Bar Harbor/Downeast ME area.

Anyone have any insight into the adult hockey scene in that area. I'd be willing to drive up to an hour for a game.

I'm not personally from the Bar Harbor/Ellsworth area, but have been there many times. I don't recall seeing a rink around but i could certtainly be wrong. If you're willing to drive up to an hour then you can drive to the Bangor/Brewer area, i know they have arena's there.

My grandparents are from Ellsworth and there isn't a rink around, the closest is Bangor/Brewer like he said its about 30 min away not to bad! Brewer is building a new rink also.

Yup, the Bangor/Brewer area will be the clostst for you from that area. Just a quick trip across Route 1. Here is a link to arena maps, it lists the ones in Maine.

And as a side note, I'm glad to see that you are refering to the area correctly as "downeast". LOL!! Beautiful area with Acadia National Park and all there is to see.
