www.Last.fm is a music recommendation system which builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste, showing their favourite artists and songs on a customizable profile webpage, recorded by a Last.fm plugin installed into its users' music playing application.

You can also find neighbours (which have the same taste as you) and so you can find some new bands in your very genre.

I use this service for some time now and i really like it. Found some new bands and if you like you can post some kind of "ticker" which displays your favourite artists and songs in a small image. Guess that is what MySpace Kids do like.
