Hi, I've been using a stick with a Yzerman Lie 6 blade. I just got a Stealth Gaborik lie 5.5. I need to cut the stick and since the lie is different from my old stick, should I cut it shorter or longer or just cut it exactly the same as my old stick? The old stick is perfect length for me.

You should try it out at the length it is at first and then proceed from there. I went a Sackic to heatley recently and I found it better for me to cut it the same and just learn how to use it.

Yep, Sakic is 5.5 and Heatley is a 5.

lower lie should be a longer stick. You will have to carry the puck slightly further away from your body, but your skating angle will be unchanged.

This, of course, is true if the yzerman was the proper lie. If tape wears evenly on the bottom of the blade, you're doing things right.
