New Blade

Recommended Posts

not 100% but i think the 6k is tapered(correct me if i'm wrong) and i've never seen an 8K so I can't compliment on that. best blade i've used is the Warrior blade. Great feel and has held up better than any blade i've used. so that would be my suggestion.

was the warrior blade you used a dolomite or a AK-27?

The reason i stayed away from the warrior dolomite blade was because my friend broke 2 in a month. I want somthing that is light (which i no the dolomite is) but that can also hold up and perform great.

tapered is exactly that, there blades that are made to fit into smaller shaped shafts such as the Synergy II and the mission L-2. I dont know how your friend broke two in a month all I know it that mine is going strong along with the 5 other people I know who use this blade, so....

I'm a dman as well. I used wooden blade (pretty much any kind of brand). If you were looking forward for composite blade, I would suggest go with Easton CNT blade or Easton ST blade. they both were okay for me but I liked CNT one more.

Just try the warrior. Worst case is you don't like it... and then you can either get something else or have a decent back up... but best case is you love it. How will you ever know how it works for you if you don't try.

I would avoid the Warrior AK-27 blade in a Z-Bubble. Although it is a nice blade, it may cause your shaft to snap right at the part where the shaft flares out to accept the blade. This is because the tenon on the AK-27 blade is shorter than the tenon on most other blades and puts alot of stress on the bottom of the shaft when it is flexed. The first time I used the AK- 27 blade in my Z-Bubble, the shaft broke flush with the top of the tennon (about 2 inches from the bottom of the shaft).
