XXX Lite successful cutting?

So has anyone successfully cut a one piece XXX lite and made into a shaft?

I searched, looked, read and didn't see anything.

I've done 2. It's not the best stick to turn into a shaft because the shape in the taper is more oval than rectangular.

Can you give me any idea where to start the cut?

I'll see one of the guys that I did one for tomorrow. If he brings that stick I'll take a look to see if there are any landmarks to where the cut ended up.

Because the shaft is hollow all the way down, you can pretty much start anywhere down low & keep cutting higher until you get the dimensions that you want.

The 1st one that I did, I ended up looking for a blade that had thicker walls on the tenon so I could round the corners to more match the shape of the shaft. The 2nd one I did less of that, but I coated the blade tenon with a thin layer of hot melt & then used a real strong urethane adhesive in the shaft to make the inside of the shaft match the shape of the tenon, so that it stayed tight but was still replaceable. Also to keep it from stressing the corners too much.
