8E vs 8.5D for ccm tacks skates.

Recommended Posts

I'm skating in 8E since i'm 13yr(1152 2003) , i'm now 16(well soon 17) and still skating in 8E 852 2004.

It is hard for me to find another pair of 1152 or older tacks, and i came across one pair of 8.5E and 8.5D

My toes are touching the plastic cap, so do you think a .5 would be good? and if i'm wearing E would i find a big difference in term of wide?

Because right now, i find my 852 to be a little too wide around the ankle area, and i was thinking about the vector pro, but if i can find a pair of 1152 or pro tacks 2004 at a lower price than the vector, i prefer getting a pair of skate that i know i will be confortable in.

thanks for any advice.

I skate in a 8E 2004 pro tacks and my toe doesn't hit the toe cap and I skate fine in them. however, I don't know the shape of your foot but I'm thinking any heat molding will take care of any extra width (in E) or lack of width (in a D).
