3-on-3 Size Rinks

i did a search for 3on3 and read it's about 2/3rds the size of a regular rink

now how small is that? I rented out a rink out here in Surrey at a place called Excellent Ice and apparently its all 3-on-3 ice..

anybody have pics of what it looks like?

id say its about the size of your standard outdoor rink

I played some drop in at the mini-rink at the Isles practice facility on tuesday- damn is that thing small. blue line to blue line couldn't have been more than 20 feet total. It was shorter than most rinks' red line to blue line. We played 4 on 4, but it probably should have been 3 on 3 on the rink. If I had to hazard a guess, i'd say it was probably like 140x 60.

The 3-3 rink that I played on was about 1/2 sized an NHL rink in all dimensions.

The one in Montreal (Kirkland to be more precise) is 130' by 60' compared to 200' by 85'(NHL).

I know some others are 150' by 75'.

Damnlocust: the 10pm skate they have there? I've been down there once or twice on sundays, but there really wasn't anyone that good to make it worth it, how is it on tuesdays?

And there's no way that neutral zone is even 20ft, its so small. It's probably a stick length from blue to red lines

the blue rink in syosset? yeah that thing stinks. they don't even do any clinics on the big rink there anymore, only that one.

i got to the rink on saturday and was surprised because it was bigger than i thought it would be

had my own private stick and puck with my brothers so that was good
