stealth cnt fraying

I just bought a stealth cnt grip 100 flex on thursday and used it about 3 times since and tonight during a game someone lifted my stick and there is a spot right around where the taper is that a little yelow material is showing and fraying. I was wondering two things one does this affect the integrity of the stick, like should I be expecting to break it soon and two if I send it in now will easton replace it. I doubt they will because its kind of obvious that it was due to stick on stick contact but it does seem to me to be a little premature for someting like this to happen. the other guy really didn't hit my stick all that hard but I guess it was hard enough. any info from people that have seen this problem or who have been a victim to it them selves will be very appreciated. thanks a lot in advance.

it shouldnt do anything to the stick..it should be fine,... my st has a few places like that..
