Benig cheap (and broke), I finally went and got a pair of 9500's on clearance.

Skates look awesome.

My question is this: I think I needed a pair of EE width instead of D. I haven't baked them or skated on them yet, and I wanted to know whether it is worth trying to bake/stretch them or should I start lookin for a wider pair.

Also, I assume Mission will not exchange for a wider size, even if these have never been worn?

Any suggestions (from anyone)?

thanks!

fred

I am cheap too, so I feel your pain.... On my 9500's I wore two pair of socks while breaking them in to alleviate some of the discomfort. Once they were broken in I tried going to the super thin skin tight socks and found my foot was swimming in the boot. I have wide feet and thought the boots were too tight at first. Anyway, try wearing two pair socks during the break in and then transition to skin socks for play. In my opinion, that made alot more room in the skate. You could even wear half socks of toe socks to stretch out the part of the boot that is giving you the most trouble.

Good luck

i would also go with two sock idea. i have 9500's and while breaking them in i only wore one pair of socks, it reaked havoc on my arch and i had to see the doctor about what they were doing to my feet.

to justin or anyone who knows: how does the width of a 10.5 ee compare to a 11 d?

im thinking of trying out these 9500's, i cant afford wicked 1's or 3's. any long term owners have problems with these?

The 10.5ee will be wider. Many people make the mistake of going to a larger skate for increased width. This is a major cause of blisters and skates not fitting correctly.

Go for the 9500's..You won't be disappointed.
